Saggio lost his baby sister, Fabienne, to an illness last night. We are grateful to have known and loved her and miss her immensely. Until she became very sick recently, she had a wonderful, fun life with Saggio and our other cat, Wiley. We love you so much, Fabienne. We miss you and will never forget you xox Love forever, Mama

Yesterday was the saddest day in the history of my Critter Jug Band family. Our kitten Fabienne died in my hands last night, after sudden and severe anemia wreaked havoc on her little body. She was only 6-months-old.

Brave and rascally, Fabs instantly became a full-fledged member of our family. She fit right in. Her brothers, Saggio and Wiley, loved her. They played and snuggled her. They protected her when we would give her medicine because she didn’t like it. They told us yesterday morning that she wasn’t in good shape by standing around her together. And they both gave her a bath as she lay dying.

J. and I both awoke with tears in our eyes this morning. Needless to say, we profoundly miss her. Our house feels hallow without her. My heart is tight with sadness.
